California filed AB 2512 as Chapter 142 after Governor Newsom approved it, so enactment of the Anaheim Angels naming bill is likely.

Governor Newsom approved AB 2512, the measure was filed with the Secretary of State, and it became Chapter 142. Together, those steps strongly support enactment. The main complication concerns scope rather than legal status: the law does not generally require a team rename and applies only under specified stadium-transaction conditions.
