Sep 1 forecast

Ethereum sits just below $2,480 after repeated failures above $2,500, so Ethereum finishing at least $2,480 is a meaningful underdog.

Recent trading leans against an above-threshold finish. Ethereum enters the final day slightly below $2,480 after repeatedly failing to hold above $2,500, while tighter financial conditions have weighed on risk appetite. The small gap keeps the outcome live, especially because the previous New York reference rate finished above the threshold and recent ETF demand remains supportive.

Points to NO

Ethereum is 0.31% below the $2,480 threshold with less than a day remaining.
On September 1, settlement-basis Ethereum was $2,472.2418, versus the required $2,480.
Repeated failures near $2,500 show that sellers have defended the area immediately above the threshold.
On August 31, Ethereum hovered near $2,455 after another failed attempt to remain above $2,500.

Points to YES

The latest New York reference reading cleared the required level, showing that the threshold remains reachable.
At 4 p.m. New York time on August 31, the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate New York Variant was $2,482.97.
Sustained spot Ethereum ETF inflows provide an underlying source of demand.
From August 17 through August 28, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded ten consecutive sessions of net inflows totaling roughly $1.52 billion.
